If the briny deep feels too tame, head inland to fish the rivers and lochs, where new mechanics await in a much riskier landscape. 74 new fish and 25 new dinks inhabit the inland waters. Additionally, 117 entirely new fish are waiting for you at sea! Shuffle them with the base game fish or play with only the expansion fish. The choice is yours, but beware of the consequences. You won’t have to face this challenge alone. New pets are available for purchase at the port, alongside new rods, reels, supplies, and even an ambulance in case things get too out of hand. Gameplay in *Even Deeper Regrets* remains similar to the base game, with one key addition: you can now choose to start each day inland, in addition to sea and port. Inland, you can fish from three river shoals or one loch shoal, offering a higher risk/reward experience. Here, 74 new fish and 25 new dinks await. You can also fish a completely new sea, filled with 117 fresh fish to discover. Mix them with the base game fish or opt to play exclusively with the expansion fish—it’s up to you. The new polyps mechanic adds another layer of strategy: each polyp gains more value with every other polyp in play. New items and equipment include pets, which offer persistent benefits. However, be warned—pets can still be lost at sea, so try not to grow too attached.
